Using sharp and clean secateur (or scissors or floral knife), cut the hydrangea stems at a 45-degree angle. This angle increases the surface area for water absorption and allows the stems to take in more water. Cut the stems under running water to prevent air bubbles from forming in the stem, which can block water uptake. - Remove Excess Foliage if there are left some.
